FAQ

General Questions

Does HOWEPROFIT serve customers outside China?

Yes. Although we are headquartered in Zhejiang, China, we have successfully delivered projects for international customers, with a service network across more than 50 locations. If you are evaluating a warehouse automation supplier for global or regional operations, we welcome the conversation.

How is HOWEPROFIT different from other warehouse automation suppliers?

With 13+ years of experience and 40+ patents, we design, manufacture, and implement our own systems — including our in-house WMS and WCS software. That means every component works together, with fewer compatibility issues and faster deployment. We also offer flexible customization to match your specific facility layout and operational needs.

Who are HOWEPROFIT's automated storage solutions for?

Our AS/RS systems are designed for industrial and manufacturing facilities upgrading from manual or semi-automated warehouses. We serve customers across textiles, e-commerce fulfillment, automotive parts, pharmaceuticals, and general manufacturing — anywhere space efficiency and labor productivity are key priorities.

What is an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS)?

An AS/RS is a computer-controlled robotic storage solution that automatically stores and retrieves goods with high speed and precision. It maximizes vertical space, reduces manual handling, and improves inventory accuracy — a strong fit for operations handling high volumes or looking to optimize space utilization.

Product & Technology

What is a goods-to-person system, and do you offer it?

Yes. Our shuttle robots and high-speed bin systems run on the goods-to-person principle — goods are delivered automatically to an ergonomic workstation, so workers pick without walking the warehouse. This typically reduces labor needs by around 60% while significantly improving picking accuracy and throughput.

Can equipment be customized to my facility layout?

Absolutely. Custom engineering is one of our core strengths. Before design, we assess your existing facility's dimensions, ceiling height, floor load capacity, and workflow patterns. Our approach fits the system to your space — rather than making you adapt to the system.

Can your systems integrate with our existing WMS or ERP?

Yes. Our in-house WMS and WCS platforms are designed to integrate with most mainstream ERP and WMS solutions through standard APIs. During the design phase, our technical team works with your IT staff to ensure smooth data flow across the whole process, from order entry to outbound dispatch.

What types of automated storage systems does HOWEPROFIT offer?

Our core product lines include high-speed bin systems, one-bin-per-slot long-goods storage, gantry storage, high-density mobile racking, four-way shuttle robots, and stacker cranes — each designed for different throughput and space requirements. We also provide our own WMS and WCS for complete operational integration.

Project Implementation

Can international customers get technical support?

Yes. While our primary service network is in China, we provide remote technical support to customers worldwide by phone, email, and video. For international customers, we also offer on-site support arrangements that can be tailored to your location and project scale. Contact us to discuss a support plan that fits your needs.

Is staff training provided after the system goes live?

Yes. Every project includes comprehensive operator training for warehouse staff and maintenance training for your technical team. We also provide full technical documentation — system manuals, troubleshooting guides, and spare-parts lists — for a smooth handover so your team can operate and maintain the system with confidence.

Can your systems be installed in an existing warehouse without shutting down operations?

In many cases, yes. We can usually install in phases to minimize disruption. Our team develops a phased installation plan during design so, where feasible, new equipment goes in alongside current operations before switching over — helping you maintain throughput during the transition.

Does HOWEPROFIT handle on-site installation and commissioning?

Yes. We provide end-to-end project delivery — including site-preparation guidance, equipment installation, system integration, commissioning, and operator training. Our field engineering team ensures the system meets all performance specifications before handover.

What does a typical project timeline look like?

A standard automated warehouse project runs through on-site assessment (2-4 weeks), system design and engineering (4-8 weeks), manufacturing and pre-assembly (8-16 weeks), on-site installation and commissioning (4-8 weeks), and system acceptance and staff training (2-4 weeks). Most projects complete within 6-12 months, depending on complexity and site readiness.

Service & Support

Do you offer financing or payment terms for large projects?

We understand that an automated warehouse represents a significant capital investment. Payment terms are structured around project milestones — typically a deposit on contract signing, progress payments during manufacturing and installation, and a final payment after acceptance. Let's discuss the details based on your project scope.

What happens if a critical component fails?

Our remote diagnostics team can quickly identify most issues through the WCS platform. We maintain a comprehensive spare-parts inventory and give priority allocation to critical components. For urgent situations, field service engineers can travel on-site as needed.

What warranty and after-sales service do you provide?

We provide a standard one-year warranty covering all equipment and software, followed by lifetime repair and maintenance support. Our systems are backed by a nationwide engineering service team and 50+ service locations, plus a dedicated hotline for fast response on urgent issues.

Maintenance & Operations

What happens during a power outage or emergency stop?

All our systems include safety protocols for emergency-stop and power-loss scenarios. When power is restored, the WMS and WCS automatically resume from the last known state. For critical facilities, we strongly recommend a backup power supply (UPS), and we can advise on appropriate power protection during the design phase.

How does the WMS maintain inventory accuracy and handle discrepancies?

Our WMS maintains real-time accuracy through automated cycle counting, inbound verification, and outbound confirmation. It supports FIFO (first-in, first-out) inventory management and automatically tracks remnant stock — reducing discrepancies and improving inventory visibility across the operation.

Can the system be upgraded or expanded after the initial installation?

Yes. Our modular system architecture supports future expansion — you can add storage locations, increase throughput capacity, or integrate additional automation modules as your business grows. We recommend discussing your growth expectations during initial design so the system is built to scale.

What routine maintenance do automated storage systems need?

Routine maintenance includes regular cleaning of tracks and rails, lubrication of mechanical parts, inspection of robots and conveyor systems, and WMS/WCS software updates. We provide a detailed preventive-maintenance plan for each system and can either train your in-house team or offer a managed-maintenance contract.
